WOODBURY - A winter weather advisory is in effect for Nassau and Suffolk counties through Friday at noon.

News 12 Long Island Meteorologist Bill Korbel says periods of snow could sometimes be heavy with wind gusts up to 25 mph.

Snow totals by tomorrow will be between 2-4 inches across Long Island, though some areas on the North Shore could approach 6 inches.
