WOODBURY - Freezing cold temperatures are sticking around in the wake of the blizzard that dumped snow across Long Island.
Most areas in Nassau County reported 8 to 12 inches of snow, with slighly more in Suffolk County. Up to 14 inches of snow were reported in the East Islip area.
Whipping winds with gusts up to 30 mph are still in the area, so even though the snow has stopped, snowflakes are still blowing around and the snow is still drifting.
The forecast calls for frigid temperatures into the weekend that could potentially break some records. Temperatures tonight will be down to around 10 degrees, and the wind chills will make it feel like its as cold as 15 below zero.
Tomorrow will bring sunny skies, but they won't do much to warm it up. Highs will be around 26 degrees. Then, tomorrow night, it will be a blistering 2 degrees.
