FLORAL PARK - A Floral Park couple is helping thousands of young girls after burying their own three daughters almost six years ago.

Warren and Jackie Hance's three daughters were killed in a wrong-way car crash on the Taconic Parkway. Toxicology reports say Warren Hance's sister, Diane Schuler, was drunk and high the morning she crashed and killed herself, her daughter, her three nieces and three men in another SUV.

The couple created the Hance Family Foundation and recently hosted a family day for thousands of people. The event raised funds to help support Beautiful Me, an education program for girls that helps build self-esteem.

"We really learned that girls really were in need of self-esteem," says Jackie Hance. "I grew up with self-esteem issues, and I really worked on my girls with self-esteem issues. I didn't want them to have to go through what I did growing up."

Hance says Beautiful Me is now being taught in hundreds of schools from Florida to Maine.  It's even being taught to at risk women at Rikers Island.
