EAST SETAUKET - Former students, athletes and friends are stepping up to the plate for a Ward Melville baseball coach.

Coach Lou Petrucci has coached many athletes that have come through Ward Melville High School, including New York Mets starting pitcher Steven Matz.

But the coach lost all his belongings - including clothes and his treasured sports memorabilia -- in a fire.

Friends of Petrucci have created a GoFundMe page - that's already raised over $13,000.
