WANTAGH - Police say a Wantagh man faced illegal fireworks charges today.

Detectives say Craig Paulich, 43, was shooting fireworks from his backyard on Park Avenue when they arrived last night.

Police say they found commercial-grade and consumer-grade fireworks inside Paulich's garage. The fireworks were confiscated and Paulich was taken into custody.

Paulich is charged with illegal possession and storage of explosives.
