UNIONDALE - ? Charles Wang says he is not giving up on Long Island in a letter addressed to residents. The Islanders owner has taken out a full page ad about his hockey team in Newsday. Wang admits he is ?heartbroken? by the defeat of the new Nassau Coliseum, but promises he is not turning his back on fans. Wang says, ?I am not giving up on Long Island and I hope you won?t either.?

Wang adds, ?We have only two goals for the team, winning the Stanley Cup and keeping the Islanders on Long Island.?On News 12 Long Island?s Facebook page, some viewers are calling for the team to find a new home in Suffolk County.
