EAST MEADOW - A memorial has been placed on Long Island ahead of the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

The Wall of Remembrance features nearly 11,000 names, including Sept. 11 victims and military personnel who died in Iraq and Afghanistan. It also lists the names of all victims of terrorist attacks dating back to 1983.

The wall, which is 94 feet long and 6 feet high, has come all the way from California, thanks to a group called Rear Area Support Foundation and its Vision to Victory program.
