WOODBURY - Waldbaum's has announced it is closing half a dozen stores on Long Island.

The grocery chain says stores will close in Commack, West Babylon, East Islip, Lake Ronkonkoma, Huntington Station and in Rockville Centre.

The closures will happen in March, according to Newsday.

The closures are a part of Waldbaum's parent company's plan to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
