WOODBURY - ? Volunteers broke ground today on a new home for a Purple Heart recipient.

Staff Sgt. Omar Domenech will be the owner of the new home in Sound Beach.

Domenech searched for the wounded at Ground Zero, and then completed two tours in Iraq and a third in Kuwait.

Domenech will be living in the new home with his wife and two kids.

The home is being built by volunteers from Long Island Home Builders Care.
