AMITYVILLE - A candlelight vigil was held Saturday night for the 4-year-old found dead in an Amityville apartment earlier this week.
The candlelight vigil was held at the Amityville apartment where police say Adonis Reed was murdered. Prosecutors say 31-year-old Jonathan Thompson admitted to punching 4-year-old Adonis Reed twice, causing significant internal bleeding and multiple lacerations.
The little boy reportedly lived in Amityville with his godmother and her boyfriend, Thompson. Officials say the little boy's 6-year-old sister is now in custody of child protective services.
