Vigil held for Manorville mom, son killed in crash

MANORVILLE - The Manorville community came together tonight to remember a mother and son killed in a car crash over the weekend. Hundreds flocked to the Eastport-South Manor High School football field to pay homage to Kerri Trinca, 30, and her son, Jason Trinca, 7. They were killed Saturday morning when their car was broadsided by a van near Route 111 and Ocean View Boulevard. Trinca's two other children, Marialena, 4, and Christopher, 2, were also in the car and are in critical condition at Stony Brook University Medical Center. "You could never have had a better mother," said Kristy Solomito, Trinca's friend. "And you could have never had a better friend."
