EAST MEADOW - Friends and family who lost loved ones in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks came together for a vigil tonight in the wake of Osama bin Laden's death.

Dozens of Long Islanders gathered at Eisenhower Park for the candlelit ceremony to reflect on recent events and remember the 344 people whose names are carved into the park's 9/11 memorial wall.

Many say that learning of bin Laden's demise has been bittersweet as his death brings them back to the losses they've endured.
