CENTRAL ISLIP - The former editor-in-chief of GamePower.com was sentenced today to two years in prison in his child pornography case.

Paul Hyman, who called himself "the Game Master," was arrested back in November 2013. Investigators searched the Great Neck 67-year-old's home and seized more than 1,000 videos and 4,600 images of child pornography. The pornography was categorized by age and involved preteen children.

In court, the judge read a statement from a girl who appeared in one of the videos found in Hyman's possession.

"They don't know me, but are seeing every part of me. They are being entertained by my shame and pain," the statement read.

Hyman pleaded for mercy from the court.

"Words alone cannot express how deeply remorseful I am," Hyman said in court. "I let down and failed my family, friends, co-workers and community."

Hyman's attorney asked for no jail time, stating that Hyman has been receiving mental health treatment and counseling.

"He's in therapy," said attorney Charles Ross. "He's dealing with the underlying problems that caused this."
