Victims possibly ID'd in Brentwood LIRR train vs. car crash

A Commack mother of three and her father are believed to be the two people killed in Tuesday's collision between a car and a LIRR

BRENTWOOD - A Commack mother of three and her father are believed to be the two people killed in Tuesday's collision between a car and a LIRR train.

Several reports identify the victims as Blanca Maldonado, 52, and her father 73-year-old Jose Adolfo Reyes.

Dental records are now being used to positively identify the victims.

Police say the crossing gates were down when the car drove around and got stuck on the tracks.
