WOODBURY - Verizon announced today that it will begin selling the iPhone 4 starting in early February.

The move ends AT&T's four-year run as the phone's exclusive carrier.

On Feb. 3, Verizon Wireless existing customers will have an exclusive opportunity to pre-order online ahead of general availability. One week later, on Feb. 10, the iPhone 4 will be available to everyone.

Verizon says the cost of the iPhone 4 will be the same as AT&T, $199 for a 16-gigabyte device and $299 for a 32-gigabyte device, with a two-year contract.
