NEW YORK - (AP) - Verizon says striking workers have taken theirdemonstrations too far, and the telecommunications company is suingin five Eastern states to limit picketing and stop what it claimsis harassment, sabotage and blocking access to its facilities.

The company sued Communications Workers of America leadersWednesday in New York and got a court order Monday in Pennsylvania.

A Verizon Communication Inc. spokesman says the company got asimilar order Wednesday in Delaware and has legal action going inNew Jersey and Massachusetts.

A union spokeswoman didn't immediately return a phone callWednesday. The union has said it doesn't condone any illegalactivity.

Some 45,000 Verizon landline workers struck Sunday fromMassachusetts to Virginia.
