MASTIC BEACH - A group from Virginia delivered a large collection of books to Long Island today for schools impacted by Sandy.

Jennifer Fulton, an English teacher from Virginia, says she got her students involved in a book drive after Superstorm Sandy hit. What she thought would be a small number of books turned into a very large collection, which was delivered to Tangier Smith Elementary School in Mastic Beach today.

While many homes on the water in Mastic Beach were destroyed, the schools were not. So now, these books will go to other districts that were hit hard by Sandy.
