A homeless man was found dead today near the Long Beach Bridge.

Long Beach police say the unidentified man was found by a passerby this morning in an industrial area near the bridge.

He was found in a makeshift residence located between the fence of a tennis court and the bridge.

Police say the man, who appeared to be in his mid-40s, may have been dead for a couple of days.
