GARDEN CITY - A Bronx man pleaded not guilty today in a deadly shooting at Mint Restaurant and Lounge in Garden City.

According to police, 21-year-old Tyshaun Phillips opened fire inside the crowded restaurant on March 16 around 3 a.m.

Police say Phillips' bullets hit two people, killing 21-year-old Emmanuel Barnett.

The other victim suffered a leg injury that was not life-threatening.

Officials say more charges could be filed.
