SAG HARBOR - A Tuskegee Airman from Long Island whose real life heroism was the basis for the high-flying adventure movie "Red Tails" sat down with News 12 Long Island's Virginia Huie.
For 89-year-old Roscoe Brown, of Sag Harbor, the premiere of "Red Tails" was much more than a Hollywood event.
The movie tells the story of how the Tuskegee Airmen battled Germans in the air and prejudice on the ground.
During World War II, Brown served as a squadron commander for the Tuskegee Airmen. He also served as a consultant on the film.
