QUEENS - Hundreds of flights have been canceled due to the snowstorm that hit the south and is making its way to the northeast.

At LaGuardia Airport in Queens, most of the canceled flights were headed to Georgia, South Carolina and other places in the south that were hit hard by snow Wednesday. Nearly 900 flights have been canceled at airports across the south.

Southern-bound travelers at LaGuardia have been left stranded at the airport, as they try to book new flights or get their money refunded.
