ISLIP - The Town of Islip has a new supervisor today, as Tom Croci took the oath of office.

Croci joined two newly elected councilmen at Town Hall for the inauguration ceremony.

He defeated incumbent Democrat Phil Nolan by 420 votes.

Croci has previously served as a lieutenant commander with Naval Intelligence and worked in the White House with former President George W. Bush.

He says he plans on getting right to work with the town board to solve the $10 million budget gap the town faces.
