Tour bus accident claims life of 15th passenger

WOODBURY - A Bronx tour bus crash on Saturday morning has claimed the life of a 15th passenger.

The 70-year-old man succumbed to his injuries early this morning after the World Wide Tours bus he was riding in tipped on its side while returning from Mohegan Sun at around 5:30 a.m.

Bus driver Ophadell Williams claims a tractor-trailer clipped the bus while changing lanes and sped away, causing the accident. However, surviving passengers and witnesses told investigators that they didn't feel or see the bus get hit.

Hours after the crash, officials located the tractor-trailer in question. It is now being inspected at the New York State Police barracks in Farmingdale.
