WOODBURY - ? A Long Island man has spent two decades trying to help families separated from their sick children.
Back in 1990, Bob Policastro and his wife had to deal with living far from their daughter Angela who suffered severe brain damage during birth.
There were no facilities on Long Island that could provide the kind of care she needed so Angela spent much of her short life in a Connecticut hospital.
Policastro has spent the past 20 years fighting for more specialized care for medically fragile children on Long Island.
Policastro's dream is taking shape and he has started "Angela's House" in Smithtown. The home is a special home for children who depend on medical technology to keep them alive.
