Threatening Facebook post prompts lockdown at Shoreham Wading River H.S.
The school districts says threatening messages were posted on Facebook. (February 1, 2013)
WADING RIVER - Officials say Shoreham Wading River High School was under a precautionary lockdown this morning.
The school district tells News 12 Long Island that a threatening message was posted on Facebook.
Suffolk County police identified the source of the threat and determined the students were not in any danger.
The lockout was lifted this morning at 8 a.m.
