BABYLON - Police are searching for the suspect who killed a West Babylon teen in an early morning shooting Sunday.

Police say they received numerous reports of shots being fired at around 1:30 a.m. When they arrived on the scene at Centerwood Street, they found 18-year-old Rashad Capers lying in the street. He was found near a house party happening on St. John's Place. Police say the shooting was connected to a house party there. However, the homeowner disputes this, saying the party was for 12-year-old girls and it had no connection to the shooting.

Neighbors who knew Capers say they don't know why anyone would want to kill him. Police do not believe the shooting was gang-related.
