Officials say Oumar Barry is accused of throwing a firecracker into the Alverta B. Gray Schultz Middle School on Greenwich Avenue around 10:20 a.m.

According to police, six people, ages 18 to 47, were taken to the hospital for minor injuries sustained mostly during the evacuation process. One person suffered burns to the side of his face and leg.
