RONKONKOMA - Long Island teachers boarded a bus to Albany this morning in an effort to save school programs from budget cuts.

They rallied for funds to save programs at the Sachem School District.

The district is considering a plan that may cut full-day kindergarten to a half-day to help close a $6 million budget shortfall.
