EAST NORWICH - Dozens of Syrian-Americans from around the U.S. today visited the family of a Long Island journalist who was killed in Syria last month.Veteran war correspondent Marie Colvin, of Oyster Bay, died in a shelling in Homs. Members of the Syrian-American Council traveled to East Norwich to offer their condolences to Colvin's mother.Many Syrian-Americans say Colvin is a hero who sacrificed her life to bring the truth about their government's atrocities to the world.
