NORTH AMITYVILLE - ? The man allegedly behind a deadly crash in Suffolk County pleaded not guilty today to drunken driving charges.

Richard Hughes is accused of driving drunk on Route 110 in North Amityville yesterday morning when he hit and killed 51-year-old Merell Jerman and injured 18-year-old Breuton Byrd.

Police say the victims were walking in the street at the time of the incident.

Hughes is being held on $60,000 bail.
