HEMPSTEAD - A man accused of fatally shooting a Hempstead father-to-be faced a judge today.

Police say 20-year-old Diquan McClough shot 20-year-old Quavis Ford outside of his family's Terrace Avenue apartment building on Dec. 8, roughly two weeks before the birth of Quavis' daughter.

Nassau police, the Richmond County Sheriff's Department and U.S. Marshals tracked down and arrested McClough Thursday in Augusta, Ga.

McClough was arraigned Saturday on a second-degree murder charge and is due back in court Jan. 15.
