Suspect in custody after police chase from Suffolk to Garden City
Officials say the chase started in Suffolk County and ended up on the Northern State Parkway. (January 25, 2013)
GARDEN CITY - Officials say a police chase that started in Suffolk County ended in Garden City today.
Chopper 12 was over the scene where a state police car could be seen with significant damage to the front end.
It is not clear why police were chasing the driver, but officials say state police got involved on the Northern State Parkway.
The driver ended up crashing at Jericho Turnpike and Nassau Boulevard. Police say that suspect was taken into custody.
It's not clear if the officer driving the car was hurt in the crash.
