RONKONKOMA - As the death toll continues to climb following the typhoon that crippled the Philippines last week, Long Islanders with ties to the region are doing their part by organizing donation drives.

Members of the Tanglaw Filipino-American Society of Long Island have organized a food and clothing drive with several drop-off points, including one in Ronkonkoma.

They are accepting non-perishable goods, medicines and medical supplies, clothing and monetary donations.
