MASSAPEQUA - Police say the Sunrise Mall has reopened after a suspicious package was found earlier tonight.

Police say they responded to reports of an incoherent woman in the mall who left two suitcases and a shopping bag in the mall just before 6 p.m.

Officials say officers took the woman into custody and after learning about the packages, evacuated the mall and called in the bomb squad.

The packages, which contained personal belongings, were deemed not a threat.

The woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
