PATCHOGUE - Sunrise Highway has been reopened in Patchogue after a man threatened to jump from an overpass.

Suffolk police say the road was closed at Waverly Avenue after the man, whose identity has yet to be released, hovered near the edge. After negotiating for nearly six hours, authorities were able to talk him down.

The man was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
