FARMINGVILLE - Impassible roads in Suffolk County have people wondering where the plows have been.

Town of Brookhaven officials say stranded cars and near white-out conditions from Friday night slowed plow truck response time.

More than 150 cars were stranded in a three-mile area between the Long Island Expressway and Route 25 in Centereach, and even more vehicles got stuck on Route 83 in Farmingville.

Drivers say they became frustrated as morning turned to afternoon and there was still no sign of plow trucks.

Brookhaven Town Deputy Supervisor Dan Panico says stranded cars are slowing responses to neighborhoods. Many streets in Farmingville were still untouched by plows late Saturday afternoon.
