CENTRAL ISLIP - The four males found dead with severe trauma to their bodies inside a Central Islip park have been identified by Suffolk police.

The bodies were found at the intersection of Lowell Avenue and Clayton Street on Wednesday night, according to police.

The victims were identified as 16-year-old Justin Llivicura, cousins Michael Banegas, 20, and Jefferson Villalobos, 18, and Jorge Tigre. Police say they believe all four men were murdered inside the park within the past few days.

The families of the young men came to the park Friday and spoke with News 12 while they were placing flowers for their loved ones.

Yensy Fuentes, a cousin to Villalobos, told News 12 that her cousin was on Long Island just for a visit from Florida on his spring break. She says five teens came to the park to hang out and were confronted by members of MS-13 with machetes.

She says the fifth teen was able to escape, and contacted the family of one of the victims.

Fuentes says Michael Banegas had a plastic bag over his head when he was killed, and that there was a video of the incident that she has seen.

During a news conference Thursday afternoon, Suffolk Police Commissioner Tim Sini said the manners of death were consistent with others connected to MS-13, but investigators are not ruling out other possibilities.

The gruesome discovery comes one month after the arrests of eight reputed MS-13 gang members in connection to brutal slayings of two teen girls in Brentwood back in September.

A fast cash reward of $25,000 has been offered for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-220-TIPS.
