? Suffolk police held a training seminar for movie theater owners and managers on Long Island today, on the heels of last month's deadly massacre

BRENTWOOD - ? Suffolk police held a training seminar for movie theater owners and managers on Long Island today, on the heels of last month's deadly massacre in Colorado.

The active training was offered to two dozen theater owners and gave a look at the history of mass shootings. The training offered information to theater owners and managers regarding what they can do to address an active shooter situation, as well as tips to prevent one from occurring. In addition, it explainined the police department's preparedness and response to active shooting events.

Last month, James Holmes, 24, was charged with 142 criminal counts for the Aurora, Colo. movie theater massacre that killed 12 and injured 58 others.
