RONKONKOMA - A stun gun found aboard a JetBlue plane in New Jersey Friday night is raising questions about security at area airports.

According to the FBI, the plane had flown from Boston to Newark Liberty International Airport and was being serviced by a cleaning crew when the stun gun was found in a seatback pocket.

Although the plane was empty at the time of the discovery, the news has rattled many travelers who are now wondering how the weapon made its way on board in the first place. Many Long Islanders say they feel officials need to re-examine security procedures.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the FBI say they are continuing to investigate.
