LAKE SUCCESS - A comprehensive study has revealed new clues into the genetic origins of breast cancer.
The latest study published in the journal ?Nature" reveals new evidence on genetic mutations of four specific breast cancers.
Monter Cancer Center oncologist Dr. Jane Carleton says the information will help doctors treat a patient more effectively. She says the study is the most comprehensive to date. It examined the DNA of 800 patients and their tumors.
Researches will now study which drugs work best for patients with different types of the cancer.
