MANHATTAN - (AP) ? The New York City hotel maid who accused Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault is thanking hersupporters.Nafissatou Diallo spoke Thursday at a church cultural center in Brooklyn. It was her first public appearance since giving recent interviews to ABC and Newsweek.The 32-year-old says she and her daughter have been goingthrough a lot in the last two months. She says she wants to letpeople know that a lot of the things being said about her weren'ttrue.Diallo and her attorney met with prosecutors on Wednesday, thefirst time since the Manhattan district attorney's office publiclyannounced they had doubts about her credibility.Strauss-Kahn is charged with attempted rape and other crimes.The former head of the International Monetary Fund denies Diallo'saccusations. His attorneys hope the case will be dropped.
