BELLPORT - A stop sign has been installed at a dangerous intersection in the Bellport community. News 12 Long Island aired a story last week about the intersection at Circuit Road and Head of the Neck Road. The story came after a van flipped over in a crash at the site, injuring nine people. Resident Peter Dideo contacted News 12 Long Island about the intersection, and a new stop sign with large reflectors was installed the day after the story aired. Town of Brookhaven workers also trimmed back overgrown trees and brush in the area. Bellport Fire Department officials say the sign should help prevent accidents at the spot. Neighbors say they're relieved that the dangerous problem has been addressed.Neighbors plead for changes to dangerous Bellport intersection
