STONY POINT - A Rockland neighborhood is in the dark after a driver hit three utility poles.

The accident occurred on Willow Grove Road between Call Hollow Road and Bragaglia Drive on the border of Haverstraw and Stony Point.

Police say an elderly woman lost control of her grey Toyota Camry and slammed into a utility pole. Witnesses say seconds after the woman hit the first pole, two others came crashing down.

Crews with Orange and Rockland Utilities say they'll be out on the scene throughout the night restoring power to the neighborhood. Willow Grove Road is also expected to remain closed throughout the night.
