RIVERHEAD - Stony Brook University's star running back Miguel Maysonet was a likely NFL draft prospect, but after days of anxiously waiting for the phone to ring, he was passed over.

Still, he's heading to the NFL anyway. Maysonet signed with the Philadelphia Eagles moments after the draft ended.

News 12 Long Island's Jamie Stuart spent the day on Saturday with Maysonet, his family and friends as he hoped for a phone call. He was hoping to become the first player in Seawolves history to be drafted to the NFL, and had dreamed of signing with the Giants.
