WOODBURY - Animal advocates are offering a warning in the wake of the four alligator sightings on Long Island."There's a reason why these things should not be here," Roy Gross, chief of the Suffolk SPCA, says. "There's a reason why it's illegal, and people have to understand that not only is it dangerous, it's illegal, and they'll be facing criminal charges."Four alligators have been found abandoned since last Friday, two of which were discovered in a supermarket parking lot in Baldwin.
