Southold police officers say a man they drove home Monday night stole car keys from an officer.According to police, officers drove an "intoxicated" Joseph Ricketts

SOUTHOLD - Southold police officers say a man they drove home Monday night stole car keys from an officer.

According to police, officers drove an "intoxicated" Joseph Ricketts from Franklin Square to a home in Laurel. Hours later, one of the officers realized his car keys were missing.

The officer says he returned to the Laurel house and found Ricketts with his keys.

Ricketts has been arrested.
