WOODBURY - ? Officials say some Suffolk County cops are going to start carrying an overdose antidote. According to Newsday, they will administer the opiate antidote ?narcan.?The move is part of the county?s effort to provide faster treatment to overdose patients. Lawmakers passed a bill this week expanding the pilot program. To start, about 10 to 20 percent of precinct patrol will carry the drug.
