Some homes hit by Sandy to get mold removal aid

ISLAND PARK - Officials say Island Park residents and hundreds of other Long Islanders hit hard by Sandy will get help tackling mold removal.

The Community Development Corporation of Long Island is offering professional mold cleaning for residents free of cost as long as they qualify.

To qualify, the home must have been flooded during Sandy and it has to have visible mold.

The homeowners will also have to meet certain income guidelines.

Anyone interested should call the Community Development Corporation at (631) 471-1215, extension 299.
