SMITHTOWN - In a landslide vote tonight, Smithtown residents have agreed to put hundreds of kids back on school buses.

A revote was held on a referendum that passed in May and cut bus service to students in the Smithtown School District.

Many parents asked the school board for the revote, claiming the wording of the May ballot was confusing. The district agreed.

Full bus serve is expected to resume on Oct. 11.
