EAST NORWICH - The snow may have stopped on Long Island, but icy and slushy road conditions remain for drivers today.

Hundreds of salt trucks and plows were out Saturday, clearing most of the main roads.

But the side streets, sidewalks and parking lots are still slushy and icy. Some roads have also flooded as the snow started to melt.

Drivers are advised to take caution while using side streets, since the remaining slush could turn to ice when temperatures drop later tonight.
